Message from the CEO
Most of my clients were villa owners, and our relationships often continued even after their purchases. Many of them frequently asked why Karuizawa lacked professional villa management services, which are common in leading resort areas worldwide, and why there were no trustworthy specialists to whom they could entrust their keys.
In response to these needs, in October 2008, I founded Watabe & Company, the predecessor of today’s FunBase Inc.
More than 15 years have passed since our founding, and customer needs have gradually diversified: handing down villas to the next generation, relocating within Karuizawa, choosing to semi-reside in their villas, starting hotel businesses as investments, or purchasing villas in other areas where our services are available.
To address these changes, we have always pursued three business purposes:
・Supporting the creation of memories in Karuizawa
・Protecting and managing our customers’ valuable assets
・Fostering the growth of our staff and contributing to local employment
In recent years, we have received many inquiries not only in Karuizawa but also in major resort areas nationwide and in Tokyo. Our business fields have expanded significantly.
Going forward, we will continue to enhance the quality of our villa management services while evolving into a “comprehensive villa service company” that supports the best resort lifestyles through diverse offerings.
